Vanco Mobile Issues
An Update

November 20, 2021

We have a replacement for Vanco Mobile and GivePLUS apps

Some exciting news! We worked out an option to replace Vanco Mobile and GivePLUS.
NOTE: Both Vanco Mobile and GivePLUS Mobile will be turned off on FEBRUARY 28, 2022. Vanco Mobile and GivePLUS will remain operational while everyone transition to our new e-Giving options. This allows you to continue e-giving uninterrupted until you fully transition to the new option.
What is the new Option?
Okay, let us get to the point. It is called Subsplash Giving and it is built into our Olivet App. If you have the Olivet App on your  phone you already have access to it. Look for the give tab at the bottom of the screen in the Olivet App (circled green in phone screen image).
Watch the video to see how simple it is to use.

DON'T HAVE THE OLIVET APP?

Download it on...

iTunes App StoreGoogle Play
Our new giving app is online and ready! Our official launch date is Sunday, November 28, 2021 at our worship service. We invite pioneers who are ready to make the change to do so. In fact, some have already used it.
A few things to consider:
  • If you have recurring giving scheduled in Vanco Mobile or GivePLUS, be sure to cancel them before you set them up in the Olivet App.
  • You have the options to link to Debit, Credit and Bank Accounts (ACH). If possible, consider using a bank account. It is a 1% processing fee and 0% transaction fee. This reduces the cost on Olivet Gospel Church, if you choose not to cover the transaction fees (debit and credit cards %2.3 -%2.9). HOWEVER, you may choose any method that works for you.
  • You can submit any questions you have to connect@olivetgospelchurch.org or using e-Giving Center in the Olivet App to send your questions.
It is a very new platform and we will learn it together 😄.

Thank You,

Reports of  Vanco Mobile Issues

To: Our Olivet Family,
Re: Issues with Vanco Mobile (new e-Giving App)

The Issue
Over the past three weeks we received numerous reports of technical glitches when using the Vanco Mobile App. The issues range from difficulty updating contact information to issues with submitting your tithe and various offerings. It is an understatement to say that we are disappointed that you are having this experience. The whole purpose of e-Giving is to provide a simple, hassle-free, and convenient way to commit to giving. These recent issues are an opposite to all of that. Please know that we are aware and working aggressively to implement a solution.
What We Know
We communicated these issues to Vanco. They acknowledged that these issues have been reported to them and their developers are working on a solution. However, they cannot offer a date for fixing the issues. Generally, applying a fix to all the reported issues could take weeks into months.
Are You Unable to Give Using Vanco Mobile?
If you are unable to  give using Vanco Mobile, you may bypass the issue by going back to GivePlus Mobile (yes, the previous app. It is still available for a little while). We found that these issues are not affecting GivePlus. If you already deleted GivePlus from your device, you may download it again from your App Store.
What Happens Next?
We reiterate here. We are beyond disappointed that this is happening and we are committed to improving your e-Giving experience. Effective, Saturday, November 13, 2021, we have started the process of moving to a new e-giving provider. We will not take chances or make assumptions on when Vanco will fix these issues. We consider the failures in their App unreasonable and we believe you deserve a better experience. Rest assured that you will receive updates along the way on where we are in this transition and you will know in advance when we are ready to move to our new e-Giving platform.
Thank You and Reach Out
We are excited that you chose to use e-Giving and we thank you for  your patience as we work on the transition. Finally, if you still have questions or need some assistance, kindly fill out and submit this form CLICK HERE.

Grace and Peace to You,
Pastor Frederick Butler
