Core Beliefs
SCRIPTURES
We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and conduct.
GOD
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true Man.
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and indwells all who repent of sin and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation. He imparts gifts to believers and convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.
FALLEN STATE OF PEOPLE
We believe that man was created in the image of God. But he sinned and there by incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God and that all human beings are born with a totally depraved sinful nature and each is morally responsible before God and man for their sinful thoughts, words and deeds.
THE CRUCIFIXION
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are cleansed from sin by His blood and are justified by His resurrection.
THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.
SAVED BY FAITH
Salvation is by grace alone. We believe that all who received, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the divinely inspired Word and the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
THE JUDGEMENT
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
BAPTISM
We believe that Baptism is by immersion and is demonstration of our death, burial and resurrection with our Lord Jesus Christ. It symbolizes union with Christ.
THE ORDINANCES
We believe and practice two Ordinances:
(1) Baptism as an act of obedience, not imparting Grace or Salvation
(2) The Lord’s Supper as a fellowship of believers gathered to commemorate His death, burial and resurrection until He returns.
